In 2018, we surveyed 980 consumers and discovered that high costs, time constraints, and potential nail damage were the main reasons they didn't visit nail salons frequently. To tackle this, we assembled a team of engineers and embarked on a six-year journey.

We explored 4 approaches, built 11 prototypes, and analyzed over 100,000 nail data points to create our innovative, AI-powered manicure machine. Umia offers personalized nail care in under 20 minutes, making high-quality manicures an accessible luxury for everyone.
